I am a very proud owner of over 8 of Nancy’s paintings as well as two I have purchased as gifts. Nancy has the natural ability to capture the unique personality of an animal and transform it into a beautiful watercolor to enjoy for years to come. I met Nancy after the lost of our beloved cat Zimba. Our hearts were broken, but thanks to Nancy I smile every time I walk past his painting. –Linda Brannon- Ft. Myers, FL
When my 15-year-old "best friend" dog died, I was heartbroken and missed her every day. I had seen many of Nancy Colby's paintings and was always impressed with their quality and expressiveness. Months after Rosie died, Nancy painted a picture of her. Nancy not only created a beautiful painting with absolutely perfect eyes, but she somehow managed to capture Rosie's spirit. It not only gives me comfort and peace, but I feel like a part of Rosie's spirit continues to watch over me and I feel her love. I am so grateful to Nancy for using her talent to provide this wonderful memory of Rosie. –Susan Reilly - Englewood, FL
I was introduced to Nancy Colby by a friend who had been in awe of Nancy’s art work for sometime. Little did I know that not only would I become totally captivated by her talent but with Nancy as well. Not only is Nancy an excellent artist but an exceptional human being as well! Throughout the years I have known Nancy, and she has donated hundreds of pieces of original art to non-profit organizations for their fundraisers. I consider myself very fortunate to have Nancy as a friend! She is truly “one in a million”! –Mary Skaggs - Port Charlotte, FL
Nancy has a way with cats and obviously paint brushes as well! She painted my cat Riley, not once but TWICE (from two different photos)! The most amazing piece took first prize out of 83 entries in a recent show Nancy entered and I was just as proud as a “Mom” could be. The painting is simply beautiful and it will always be a reminder of my beautiful boy. –Ellen Toll, New York
Nancy has painted two of my cats, and I couldn’t be more pleased. She has a gift for capturing the essence of a cat’s personality. Being a bit of a painter myself, I so appreciate the quality of detail and the level of effort she puts into working with the hardest medium of all — water color! Her painting of my Alice (which is now her business card), won 1st place out of 120 entries in a recent art show! Besides being an accomplished artist, she is also a devoted cat lover and just a pleasure to work with. –Dorothy Washburn - Baldwinsville, New York
I was so thrilled with the gift my niece sent me from the U.S. - a gorgeous portrait of my beloved cat 'Toxic' by Nancy Colby. I simply cannot think of a more precious and meaningful present!–Blaby Leicester, England
I am the proud owner of two Nancy Colby paintings. They both exhibit Nancy's incredible talent and ability to charm and captivate not only me, but every guest who visits my home. Both watercolors portray timeless beauty and are cherished. –Shelley Thayer, Executive Director - Cat Depot
Nancy’s gifted portraits are executed with meticulous detail and capture the individual personality of each animal. She has a generous heart and goes to great lengths to translate each client's wishes into a treasured painting. –Barbara Jacobson, FL
Nancy Colby is a gifted artist. We own several original works, mostly of our own cats. Her ability to capture the personality and spirit of each cat is uncanny. Our Nancy Colby collection is limited by wall space, not the enthusiasm or keen appreciation of her talent. –Tom and Janet Willingham
