Nancy has been teaching since 1995, and along the way she has taken many people under her wing and taught them new and exciting techniques – techniques that they never thought they would be able to learn. It’s Only Paper – Beginner/Intermediate Watercolor Class
Description of Class
All skills levels are welcome in this class. Bring the talent and desire you have to class and we’ll “meet you where you are”. Not all of us progress at the same speed and not all of us have the same goals for our work, but we all have an interest in watercolor and we can achieve far more than we ever thought possible. It’s also a very relaxing and fun experience to be a part of the class where everybody has a chance to learn and ask their own questions.
This class is designed to help you develop and fine tune your skills to let you produce the things you aspire to achieve. You will be taught basic skills and techniques that apply to all watercolor projects. Basic color and composition theories are also discussed in great detail. While you learn the basics and start applying them, you will be working on a subject that is in your heart. By working on a project you choose, you will have a greater interest in completing it and the success you achieve will be far greater.
This class is taught in such a way so that when you finish the class, you’ll be ready to apply the various techniques that you learn to your own projects with ease. Demonstrations of techniques and critiques of works will also be given in each class, so that we can all progress and improve together.

It’s Only Paper – Watercolor Instruction Book
There are so many books on the market about watercolor. You can go anywhere today and find someone telling you how they did it and how you can do it. If you’re a beginner, it can be very confusing. Who has the right way? If you’ve been painting for a while, it can be even more confusing because you’ll second guess everything you’ve been doing and start changing even the things you were doing right.
So why did I write this book? I’ve been teaching watercolor to beginners longer than even I realized. Over the years, I have been thankful that would-be-watercolorists have come to me and have achieved their goals of becoming good at watercolor.
My simple style and approach to teaching my students has made it possible for even beginners to evolve into good painters and my advanced students to become even better.
